its been a week since the holidays had begun and its been rather boring so far,
watched 2 movies though

SPAs! chem and phy are OVER! ive got a gut feeling that i had already lost 1 mark each for both.. ):
ahh! BIO 6th BIO 6th BIO 6th. YES, bio's on the 6th.

nervous-ness is beginning to engulf me.
you know whats better than that? ive got my piano grade 5 theory test coming up (1st Nov)
and also my O lvl MT paper on the 5th :S

one word: yickes!

Mugging for next year had become one of the more interesting things ive been doing for the past few days :)

This is another very popular myth on how diwali came about :D

Killing of Narakasura:

Narakasura ruled the kingdom of Pradyoshapuram. Puranas have it that Naraka, son of Bhudevi, acquired immense power from a blessing given by Lord Brahma after a severe penance. Under his rule, the villagers suffered a lot of hardship as the demon tortured the people and kidnapped the women to be imprisoned in his palace with his invincible might.

Unable to bear the tyranny of the demon, the celestial beings pleaded with Lord Krishna to save them from his torture. But Naraka had a boon that he would face death only at the hands of his mother Bhudevi. So, Krishna asks his wife Sathyabhama, the reincarnation of Bhudevi, to be his charioteer in the battle with Naraka.

When Krishna fell unconscious after being hit by an arrow of Naraka, Sathyabhama takes the bow and aims the arrow at Naraka, killing him instantly. Later Lord Krishna reminds her of the boon she had sought as Bhudevi. The Narakasura Vadh by Sathyabhama could also be taken to interpret that parents should not hesitate to punish their children when they step in to the wrong path.

The message of Naraka Chaturdashi Parva is that the good of the society should always prevail over one's own personal bonds. It is interesting to note that Bhudevi, mother of the slain demon Naraka, declared that his death should not be a day of mourning but an occasion to celebrate and rejoice. It is said Lord Krishna had an oil bath to rid himself off the blood spattered on his body when Naraka was killed.

The tradition is followed and people offer prayers on the previous day of the Naraka Chaturdashi to the vessel in which water is being heated for having bath. Hindus light fireworks, which are regarded as the effigies of Narakasura who was killed on this day.

well, deepavali is just 2 days away! :D for all those who have no clue about the origin of the festival of lights, here is a brief version of a myth that will give u an idea of how deepavali came about

The Story of Rama and Sita:

Lord Rama was a great warrior King who was exiled by his father Dashratha, the King of Ayodhya, along with his wife Sita and his younger brother Lakshman, on his wife's insistence. Lord Rama returned to his Kingdom Ayodhya after 14 years of exile, in which he put an end to the demon Ravana of Lanka, who was a great Pundit, highly learned but still evil dominated his mind. After this victory of Good over Evil, Rama returned to Ayodhya. In Ayodhya, the people welcomed them by lighting rows of clay lamps. So, it is an occasion in honor of Rama's victory over Ravana; of Truth's victory over Evil.

Maintaining concentration in studies and a balance in life may seem easy by its actually not. At this point of time, having full focus on academics is very essential. This might be the only chance we would ever be getting..

Balance. Friendships&Relationships. Maintaining friendships is a must. Everyone needs friends, be it 1 or even 100. Friends back you up and give you the drive to move on. They know you well and also advice you on what is best for u. Even a small hole in friendship would have a great impact on us. Cherish. We should always cherish the time we had together and form a bond that would last forever.

Good friends would always be remembered and not forgetten.. :D

Relationships. They might sound nice but its not the right time for them..


I really hope i do get into the JC of my choice.

This year had certianlly flew past vey quickly and im really loving my class. Well, i had been thinking that ill easily be able to cope with all my work and balance myvarious classes at the same time. But, my resulted proved me wrong by far..

Im pretty sure that next year would fly past just as quickly or even quicker than this year. In no time, ill be coming face to face with my Os.
As much as i am fearing, im determined to works harder with much more effort.
Im not going to disappoint the ppl who had always believed in me.

Giving up is not my thing, i know i can do it, and i will.

To the teachers who had engouraged me that im capable of better, thank you. I'll make you all pround. its a promise.

My history and HTL teachers are leaving.. kind of sad about that.
well, 2009 is a brand new year
im going to cherish it as much as i possibly could. AHH! ok im thinking too far ahead about grad now.. going to miss alot of ppl after grad next year. =(

went to watch EAGLE EYE last sunday!
the movie was AWESOME!! (seriously, it was!)

i highly reccomend that movie :D
went with my swimming gang ( consisting of me, aarthi, deepak and ashwath)

ate at Macs before the show
and ashwath is seriously argh! lol?

then we went to kiddy palace to look for stuff for ashwath's "baby"
the dresses were cute ok!

basically, thats about it :D

we should hang out more often

Today as my title says, was the first marking day.
did nothing much at home

like any other free day, got up at 12?
watched tv,
ate brunch (breakfast + lunch)
then resumed watching tv

and yeah..

then came my swimming lesson!
It was quite fun :D

other than the part where a NOOB (spongebob aka Trademark Lover - hehe ;D) was pulling my hair
and I got kicked by Someone too! ):

ok updates for the last few papers:

English paper 2: Summary was BAD, didn manage to complete it..
History: WAY better than expected :D whoots!
Tamil papers 1 and 2: VERY VERY GOOD! (cant even believe it was actually meant for sec4s)
Biology: Not bad, wasn the "killer" paper i expected :)
Physics: Kinda erm.. screwed? actually quite ok i guess
Higher Tamil paper 2: WAY easier than i had in mind :D
E Math: couldn finish the paper.. ): lost quite a number of marks already for sure.
Add Math: better than E math! but still not as good as it could have been

OVERALL: the TL (tamil and higher tamil) papers were the best! :D, and humanities ermm.. lol? not much comments about it though.

The only thing in my mind right now: MOVIES MOVIES MOVIES TV!!!!!!! hehe
